Roles & permissions
Builddar has two independent levels of role. Your access at any moment is the combination of both.

Being a member of an organization does not put you on a project. You're added to each project separately, with a project role.
Organization roles
Admin — administers the organization: branding, catalogs, members and their roles, projects. An organization admin has full access across the organization's projects, regardless of project role. The one thing this doesn't cover is subscription and plan management, which stays with Builddar.
Member — belongs to the organization and can be added to projects. Consumes a seat under per-user billing.
Guest — an outside participant, typically a subcontractor. Guests are free and never consume a seat.

Project roles
Manager — full access to everything in the project. Publishing meeting reports, managing checklist templates, customizing the workflow and managing the roster are all manager-level.
Collaborator — the operational role. Runs the day-to-day: issues, zones, documents, reports, checklists, and running site meetings. Cannot publish meeting reports or manage templates.
Guest — a contractor's view. Sees and acts on their own company's work only: their company's issues, published documents shared with them, checklist responses, and the meeting points their company owns or is concerned by.

Company scoping for guests
A Guest doesn't see a filtered version of the project — they see their own company's slice, enforced at the data level. A guest with no company assigned has nothing to read.
This matters when you invite a subcontractor: assign them to a company, or they'll see an empty project.
Roles are fixed
The three project roles and their permission sets are defined by Builddar and are the same in every organization. They aren't configurable, and permissions can't be granted individually.
This is deliberate. A predictable role means a manager on one project knows exactly what a Collaborator can do on another — which matters when the same subcontractor works across several of your projects.
