Set up your organization
Setting up the organization once means every project and every report that follows looks and reads the way your company expects.
Required role: Organization Admin.
Edit organization details
- Open your organization's Settings.
- Fill in:
- Name — your company name. It appears on report covers and in email subjects.
- Description — optional.
- Address, Email, Phone — used on documents and for contact.
- Save.
Set the default language
- In organization settings, choose the default language: English, Français, or Español.
- Save.
Result: invitations, notification emails, and default catalog names use this language for your organization.
The default language is the organization's, not yours. Set your own interface language in your profile.
Add your branding
Branding is applied to report cover pages and to the emails Builddar sends on your behalf.
- In organization settings, upload your logo. Builddar works out its display dimensions automatically.
- Set your primary color and secondary color as hex values (for example
#2E75B6). - Save.
Result: generated reports and outgoing emails carry your logo and colors.
Use a logo with a transparent background. It sits on the report cover and on light email backgrounds, so a white box around it shows.
Set your business role
Tell Builddar where your company sits in the project:
- Architect / MOE
- Site Manager / GC
- Developer / MOA
This helps Builddar present the right defaults for how your team works.
Set report retention
Generated reports are kept for a limited time, then cleaned up automatically.
- In organization settings, set report retention in days (1–90, default 30).
- Save.
Result: reports older than this are removed. Download or email anything you need to keep beyond the retention window.
Review your plan and limits
Your organization's settings show the current plan, which features it enables, and the limits that apply — members, projects, and per-project drawing and zone limits. You can also compare the available plans from here.
