Invite organization members
Required role: Organization Admin.
Invite someone
- Open your organization's Members.
- Select Invite.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Choose their organization role:
- Admin — full control of the organization, and access to every project in it.
- Member — works on the projects they're added to.
- Guest — an external participant, such as a subcontractor or a client.
- Send.
Result: the person receives an invitation email in your organization's default language. They appear in the member list straight away, marked as invited until they accept.
If they already have a Builddar account, the invitation links their existing account to your organization — they don't need to sign up again.
Admins and Members count against your organization's seat limit. If you've reached it, the invitation is refused until a seat frees up or your plan changes. Guests do not consume a seat — invite subcontractors and clients as guests.
Resend an invitation
Invitations get lost in spam folders.
- Open the member list and find the pending member.
- Choose Resend invitation.
Result: a fresh invitation email is sent to the same address.
See what someone works on
Open a member to see their details and the list of projects they belong to, with their role on each. This is the fastest way to check access before a handover — or before removing someone.
Remove a member
- Open the member list.
- Choose Remove on the person.
- Confirm.
Result: they lose access to the organization and its projects. Their past work — the issues they created, the comments they wrote — is kept.
Removing someone from the organization removes them from every project in it. To take someone off a single project instead, do it from that project's members list — see Manage project members.
