Watch an issue

Watching (following) an issue means you're notified whenever it changes — a new comment, a status change, a new photo. It's the way to keep an eye on issues that matter to you without checking back manually.

Required role: any project member who can view the issue.

Watch or unwatch

1. Open an issue.
2. Select Watch (or Follow) to start watching. Select it again to unwatch.

Result: while you're watching, you receive that issue's notifications. The issue shows whether you're currently watching it.

See who's watching

1. Open an issue and view its Watchers.

Result: you see everyone currently following the issue.

tip

You're often added as a watcher automatically when you're involved in an issue — for example when you're assigned to it or comment on it. Watching lets you follow issues you're not directly involved in too.
